Data protection information

We always comprehensively protect your data in accordance with legal requirements.

1. Anonymous data collection

 You are able to retrieve the information on our website without entering any personal data. When you retrieve information from our websites, we record:

  • The name of the file retrieved;

  • The date and time it was received;

The volume of data retrieved;

  • A message regarding successful retrieval;

  • Error messages (e.g. "Page not found" 404);

  • Browser type and version;

  • The user's operating system;

  • The referring URL.

This data cannot and will not be attributed to any specific individual. This data is used to manage the technical aspects of the information we provide.

2. Cookies

Our website uses "cookies". These "cookies" are used to enhance the information we provide and also to increase security. These "cookies" check the number of page views and the functioning of the page navigation system used. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. Some cookies are transferred from our server to your computer system. Essentially, only "session cookies" are used.

"Session cookies" are characterised by their automatic removal from your computer system at the end of the browser session. We do not generally use permanent cookies. You can of course reject the use of cookies at any time, provided your browser supports this. Your browser's help function will inform you of the blocking options available.

3. Use of analytical tools

We do not use any web analysis services that transfer the data - even in anonymised form - to unsecured third-party countries such as the USA. Our website uses the web analysis service Piwik. Piwik uses "cookies", which are text files that are stored on your computer and which we use to analyse how our website is used. To this end, the usage information generated by the cookie (including your abbreviated IP address) is transferred to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes, which in turn enables us to optimise our website.

Your IP address is immediately anonymised during this process so that you, as a user, remain anonymous to us. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is not passed on to third parties. You can prevent the use of cookies by setting your browser software appropriately; it may be, however, that this will prevent you from using all of the functions on the website to the full. If you do not agree to this data from your visit being stored and analysed, then at the end of this data protection information, you can reject the storage and use of this data by means of a simple mouse click. If you do this, an "opt-out cookie" will be stored in your browser which will prevent Piwik from gathering any session data.

You can decide here whether you want to allow the storage of a unique web analysis cookie in your browser; this cookie enables the website operator to gather and analyse various items of statistical data.
If you decide against this, click the following link to store the Piwik deactivation cookie in your browser.
